By offering them valuable knowledge, you position your organization as one that can help them solve a problem. It also provides you their names and email addresses for your email list. Email list building is one of the most lucrative marketing tools.
  • Can people with diabetes and high blood pressure clients do this program?
Yes absolutely. As clients lose weight, they reduce their meds and hopefully get off medication altogether. They should keep their doctors in the loop.
  • Can anyone do this program?
Not everyone is suitable for a weight loss program. Please refer to our "who cannot do this program."
  • Will patients go into “starvation mode” on a low-calorie diet?
No, but not all low-calorie diets are created equal. This general belief about "starvation mode" came from the Minnesota starvation experiment that put people on a deficient protein diet consisting of turnips and potatoes. The results were terrible! So instead, clients will eat a moderate to high-protein diet on this program, with healthy fats, unlimited vegetables, and fresh herbs and spices. What you eat is essential, especially on a lower-calorie diet. Therefore, correctly following the program properly in its entirety is vital.
  • How much weight can patients lose?
Clients can lose up to 30 pounds in 30 days. This depends on their starting point; lean body mass, age, gender, fitness level, commitment, dedication, and wellness history.
  • Do clients need to exercise?
This is not an exercise program but it is recommended.
  • Do the supplements cause any side effects?
Our dietary supplements are all GMP-certified and manufactured in the USA. The only side effect is weight loss!
  • Who should NOT do the SOZA weight loss program?
Here is a link regarding this.
  • What if my patients cannot complete the program?
Sure they can! As with anything new, combining an optimistic and positive mindset is essential to achieve their results. So many have completed this program and continue to maintain their ideal body weight. We have incorporated much medical and scientific research that has worked for many. They may feel that they have a different body physiology, and while there is truth in that, fundamental biological mechanisms are common to all of us. Healthy eating with regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle will cause weight loss. Our experience, protocol, and evidence-based recommendations will help them reach their goals.
  • Why are you based on a Mediterranean-style diet?
The Mediterranean diet is one of the healthy eating plans recommended by the Dietary Guidelines for Americans to promote health, prevent chronic disease, and maintain healthy body weight. The World Health Organization also recognizes it as a healthy and sustainable dietary pattern. This is thought to be due to antioxidant-rich foods like fruits and vegetables and healthy fats like nuts and seeds.
  • Won’t rapid weight loss make them gain the weight back?
As some of America’s leading obesity experts pointed out in an article in the New England Journal of Medicine[iv] in 2013, the belief that slow and gradual weight loss is more effective than rapid weight loss is a myth, even though it has been repeated in textbooks for decades. They conclude that “more rapid and greater initial weight loss is associated with lower body weight at the end of long-term follow-up.” In other words, if you want to diet successfully, losing weight faster than slowly can be better.
  • Why is it a 60-day program only?
The SOZA program is a holistic specialized treatment designed to kickstart weight loss where all else has failed. It is designed to help people lose 20-50 pounds in 60 days allowing them to focus and take the program seriously within a specific time frame. Determination and focus, for many, require a controlled deadline. This is not weight watchers. They've already done that and many more. Most patients who begin the program are frustrated and need to experience actual results for one reason or another, especially if their primary care physician asked them to lose weight. Losing weight fast is motivational, and research shows that it has many advantages in keeping it off as opposed to slower, "do-it-yourself" programs. Finally, we have our weight loss centers in Texas and Louisiana, so we know a thing or two about this business.
  • In a nutshell, what is the SOZA Weight Loss program?
In a nutshell, the SOZA Weight Loss program is an all-natural holistic rapid weight loss program. It is promoted as a doctor-supervised program used by healthcare professionals nationwide, based on the latest dietary science and practical experience, designed to help people kickstart their weight loss where everything else has failed. The four pillars of the SOZA Weight Loss program are: Accountability and support from health professionals 60-Day SOZA proprietary supplements that come in a weight loss kit Carefully designed low-carb Mediterranean-style diet Living a wellness lifestyle based on the latest research
  • How do I get access to the Health Coach Dashboard?
You will get immediate access to the dashboard and your first weight-loss kit. It includes recommended training material, sample intake forms, sales and marketing material, and various downloadable resources.
  • Can patients purchase the 60-day weight loss kit online?
No. Patients can only purchase the kits and do the program with a health coach. You will not see our professional weight loss kits in any online retail store.
  • Why don't you charge a sign-up fee?
Our mutually beneficial business model allows us to onboard hundreds of health professionals nationwide with a program that solves their patients' problems. In addition, the more health professionals we have, the more we can collect feedback and update the program with the latest dietary science and practical clinical experience.
  • What makes your nutrition program different?
Our nutrition program is based on a low-carb, high-protein diet with the addition of healthy fats. It is derived from the latest nutritional studies and is a Mediterranean-style diet, unlike other weight loss programs that still rely on traditional, out-of-date weight loss recommendations.
  • I have more questions, who can I contact?
Please email gus@sozaweightloss.com and you can reach him directly at 8562297248.
  • Can this be combined with prescription weight loss drugs?
Absolutely, the SOZA program can amplify the results of prescription medication and our nutrition program is fantastic.
  • Do I have to charge $599?
No, it is not a fixed price. However, we do not recommend charging less than that because your time is valuable, and this price point has been studied. However, you can add a discount for restarts. For example, some offer $50 or $100 off. So, a restart would cost $540 or $499. Please note that in some states, providers charge $599 for a 60-day program and up to $999+ when combined with lipo laser machines or other medically supervised programs.
  • What if a patient wants to restart?
Offer them $50 or $100 OFF, and let them keep going. If they have diet fatigue, they can take a week off, increase their caloric intake (same foods but with added slow-burning starches), and return to the program.
  • What If I have a specific medical question for a patient?
Our medical consultant and co-founder, Dr. Wehbe, will happily answer all your questions.
  • Do the supplements cause any side effects?
Other than weight loss, no! These are safe natural supplements with FDA registration and NDC number (National Drug Code).
  • How can I get my patient's spouse or partner to do this program?
Doing a weight loss program with a partner would be much easier. However, the truth is that if they are not ready, are in denial, or don’t believe in dietary changes; then there is nothing you can do to convince them. They have to be successful for themselves, eat healthily, and live a wellness lifestyle. Then, they will come around when they are ready and see the incredible changes.
  • How will patients know if the program is working?
Weight loss, changes to their body measurements, progress photos, increased energy levels, better mood, quality of sleep, healthier skin, hair, and nails. Focus on changes and improvements resulting from the program and new lifestyle.
  • Can I give my advice on what has worked for other patients that may be unrelated to your program?
Sure. You are a holistic health professional and are not purchasing a franchise from us. Remember not to give medical advice, however. Also, remember that much of what we recommend is based on clinical studies and the latest weight loss research.
  • Can I combine protein meal replacements with the program?
Yes, you can. We know people lead busy lives, and sometimes life gets in the way. However, encourage your patient to eat more natural foods. In a survey of 450 participants, they reported that eating real whole foods was the most significant factor in their decision to join the program.
  • Can all patients be successful in this program?
Great question. The answer is yes and no, depending on their wellness history, age, weight, medications they may be on, and several other factors. However, we are confident they can do the program (unless they have a medical condition) and succeed. That being said, rapid weight-loss programs can be challenging, and if they are looking for a magical diet, then a quick weight-loss program may not be for them. Rapid weight loss is super rewarding. Many would argue, including us and a 2013 study published in the New England Journal, that fast weight loss is one of the best approaches to getting rid of stubborn body fat and improving blood sugar in the short and long term.
  • Can patients do this program without supplements?
Yes, they can, but it will be very challenging. For example, an obese individual can go for months without eating, so long as they drink water and take some vitamins. That is not practical, though. Rapid weight loss programs are highly effective with supplements, the right foods, accountability, and a wellness lifestyle.
  • Why do patients need this sort of weight loss program?
Your patients need structure and a plan. It is straightforward to suggest "eating clean and exercising more." Many people do that but aren't losing weight and get very frustrated. Our program will help your patients by giving them an overall plan and mechanism to lose body fat while at the same time preparing a sustainable plan going forwards.
  • Why do you recommend following a plant-based Mediterranean-style diet in phase 3?
Countless studies show time and again that the Mediterranean diet, common among centenarians, is one of the healthiest diets in the world. Scientific evidence supports the link between a Mediterranean diet and a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers (such as breast cancer). In addition, the Mediterranean diet is one of the healthy eating plans recommended by the Dietary Guidelines for Americans to promote health, prevent chronic disease, and maintain a healthy body weight. The World Health Organization also recognizes it as a healthy and sustainable dietary pattern. This is thought to be due to antioxidant-rich foods like fruits and vegetables and healthy fats like nuts and seeds. Unfortunately, the media popularizes many overhyped lifestyle diets that promise health benefits, but they have insufficient evidence to support their claims. Most of these diets advocate eliminating entire food groups, which is unnecessary and potentially dangerous, and therefore do not provide all the nutrients your body needs. Of course, you should always do your research, but be sure to pay attention to evidence-based science and long-term studies.
  • Should I offer my patients weigh-ins?
Sure! Bringing your patient in for a weigh-in every week or every ten days is recommended. You can build a relationship with your patient and keep them accountable simultaneously. Of course, you can also do this remotely. For example, you can have phone consults, video consults, etc. However, old-school face-to-face works best. Rest assured; they will be losing weight every time they come in.
  • What do you expect from health professionals?
Weight loss can be a very sensitive subject with your patient truly being vulnerable. Please take the time to listen to your patient and help them as best as you can. If you find yourself stumped with a question, tell them you'll circle back and get some suggestions. We are more than happy to answer all your questions. We've been doing this for a while now and we have our own weight loss centers.
  • How much weight are patients expected to lose?
They're expected to lose anywhere from 15-30 pounds a month, but this depends on their starting point; lean body mass, age, gender, fitness level, commitment, dedication, and wellness history. TIt'shey shouldn't compare their results with others. They will most likely go through periods of rapid loss and periods of plateaus as their bodies adjust. They should remain consistent with the program and check in with you, their health coach, and their cheerleader 💪
  • What if a patient gets pregnant?
They should stop the program immediately.
  • What if my patient has high blood pressure or is a type 2 diabetic?
As they lose weight, they would be reducing their meds and hopefully getting off them completely. They should keep checking in with their doctor.
  • What if my client/patient has a thyroid condition?
If their doctor monitors their levels and they’re within the normal range, this should not affect the program. On the contrary, if they’re on medication and within the normal range, this program is recommended for anyone with weight loss and experiencing the symptoms associated with carrying extra weight. They may even find they can decrease the required medication after achieving significant weight loss.
  • Can everyone do the SOZA program?
No not everyone can. Please check our medical information section.
  • What sort of financial incentives can I offer potential patients?
    1. Advertise a $100 OFF in your ads. When the patient comes in, let them know the program costs $599, but you offer $499. 2. Offer CareCredit to them in monthly installments. 3. Try a one-month trial of $350 and $150 if they continue. Again, not our favorite, but it does work.
  • Some doctors offer a super program. So what's a super program?
    1. Lipo Laser / Zerona etc. Many of our doctors have a laser light machine or similar. They combine the SOZA program with the laser machine and charge up to $999. 2. Combining MIC (Fat Burner) shots This can only be done with an MD or DO on location. Some medical doctors combine the SOZA program with MIC fat burner shots weekly during weigh-ins. They charge up to $799-$999.
  • Won’t a rapid weight-loss diet make the patient gain the weight back?
NO! That's a myth! As some of America's leading obesity experts pointed out in an article in the New England Journal of Medicine[iv] in 2013, the belief that slow and gradual weight loss is more effective than rapid weight loss is a myth, despite the fact that it has been repeated in textbooks for decades. They conclude that "more rapid and greater initial weight loss is associated with lower body weight at the end of long-term follow-up." In other words, if you want to diet successfully, losing weight faster than slowly can be better.
  • Will my patients have loose skin?
If they lose a lot of weight, they may have some loose skin. Ask them to do some resistance training and eat enough protein to tighten their muscles so they can minimize the amount of loose skin. Losing weight is extremely important, especially the dangerous fat around the middle.
  • Other VLCD programs recommend 500 calories; is that too low?"
Yes, that is way too low. The studies done on patients on VLCD 500 calorie programs were under the care of physicians and in medical environments. Patients can get brittle nails, lose their hair and mess up their thyroid. You may be a doctor, but you are technically their health coach unless you are indeed your patient's primary care physician. You don't want to open yourself up to liability issues, either.
  • What's the overall science here behind fat loss?
The program is mildly ketogenic. Your patient will be in and out of ketosis during the program. The supplements and nutrition support your patient allowing them to dip into ketosis.
  • Why roughly 800 calories?
It's just right. like a magic number regarding rapid weight loss, eight hundred calories are high enough to be manageable but low enough to trigger a range of desirable metabolic changes. Three protein servings a day, vegetables and some healthy fats equate to roughly 800 calories. Your patients don't need to count calories.
  • Won't our metabolism "crash," or don't we go into "starvation mode" on a low-calorie diet?"
Again NO. This belief came from the Minnesota starvation experiment that put people on an extremely low protein diet consisting of turnips and potatoes. Instead, your patient will be eating a moderate to high-protein diet on the program, as well as healthy fats, unlimited vegetables, and fresh herbs and spices. What we eat is essential, especially on a lower-calorie diet. Correctly following the program properly in its entirety is vital.
  • What’s the deal with ACV (apple cider vinegar)?
Evidence suggests that it (and all other kinds of vinegar) may help lower blood sugar after a meal. So we think it’s worth trying. But first, dilute a teaspoon of ACV in water before a meal. They can try this at dinner. However, don't get too hung up on this.
  • What happens if my patient nibbles here and there?
Then they would be on a low-calorie diet without the metabolic and hormonal benefits. They will be hungry and irritable most of the time as they will not address insulin resistance.
  • Are natural or artificial sweeteners allowed?
We don't prefer your patient use either, but if they need to, have them go for stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. The latest studies suggest that artificial sweeteners may disrupt our gut bacteria. However, the Harvard School of Public Health points out that many conflicting studies suggest that artificially sweetened drinks may increase your risk of not just weight gain but also type 2 diabetes. Some other studies show that using natural sweeteners stimulates an insulin response because your body thinks food is coming. Now you get hungry. There is still a lot of controversy about sweeteners in general. Here is the good news. After a few weeks on the program, your patients will learn to appreciate food better and unlock the power of their tastebuds. In short, cut out the artificial stuff, reduce the use of natural sweeteners, or cut both out altogether.
  • Can my patient have a weekend reward?
We hope you don’t mean comfort or sugary foods! Ask them to remember why they are doing this program. They should look for other ways to celebrate wins.
  • How is this different from a keto diet?
This 800-calorie mildly ketogenic diet causes rapid weight loss, made easier with the SOZA supplements and the encouraged wellness lifestyle. It is based on the principles of the Mediterranean and plant-based diet. It is not as strict as the keto diet, as they will be able to eat more carbohydrates like fruits, organic dairy, and legumes. It is a more sustainable dietary pattern in the long run.
  • Why do you offer a rapid weight loss program?
A rapid weight-loss program is like an intervention; it shocks the body to react. Your body can't just "burn" fat; instead, it turns some of your fat stores into ketone bodies, which it uses as energy. So your body is like a hybrid car; it runs on two fuels - sugar and fat. The blood's first fuel source is glucose (sugar) when your body needs energy. Then it taps into your glycogen stores. Finally, the body turns to its fat stores when they run low. A rapid weight-loss program will trick the body into switching its energy supply away from glucose and toward fat stores, prioritizing visceral fat over subcutaneous fat. Visceral fat (white fat) is precisely what needs to be focused on. Once this fat starts to decrease, insulin and blood sugar stabilize. In turn, this reduces cravings for sugary and starchy foods, remarkable metabolic changes begin, and you are on the fast-moving train enjoying rapid weight loss.
  • My patient is not hungry; is this normal?
They are most likely "fat-adapted," i.e., utilizing stored fat as energy. That being said, ensure they are getting their protein intake for the day to help ensure they don't sacrifice muscle. Keep up with basic resistance training.
  • My patient had an unusually stressful day; what can they do to not go off the diet?
We highly recommend they do their best to adapt to fighting stress. However, we understand that these days happen. Simply eat more of the allowed foods in the program, including more healthy fats. It is better to do that than resort to comfort foods, alcohol, or sugar. Choose to forgo weight loss the next day, possibly, but at least they didn’t disrupt their total metabolic and hormonal progress. Make sure they don’t have comfort food at home, or they may reach for them.
  • Can a patient eat too much healthy dietary fats in Phase 2?
Yes, because they’re trying to lose weight. Even though this program’s dietary fats primarily come from heart-healthy omega-3 and fibrous plant-based fats, they can still overeat them. Fat contains a lot of calories. The wider concern is mindlessly overeating healthy fats, like nuts, seeds, nut butters, and so on. 30g of dietary fat a day is enough.
  • Don't you have to consume high amounts of dietary fat to be in ketosis?
No. There is misinformation regarding eating high dietary fat to lose body fat. Dietary fat is not the enemy, but you do not need to consume high amounts since you already carry too much. You want to tap into the stored calories from your body’s fat stores to produce ketone bodies instead of producing ketones from dietary fat. Numerous studies agree that high dietary fat intake is not sustainable or practical in the long run.
  • Will the patient be in ketosis?
Yes. If they do this program correctly, they will be in mild to full ketosis throughout the program because this is a low-carb and low-calorie diet. They'll lose weight rapidly and safely in mild to full ketosis. As a result, they'll feel less hungry less often. Their cravings will diminish, and they'll have more energy and a greater sense of well-being. In addition, they'll burn excess body fat while maintaining lean muscle mass. This program will promote dietary habits more effectively for long-term fat loss and sustainability.
  • Is it possible to get the “keto” flu?
Yes, some may feel a little "off" at this stage with some lightheadedness and low energy. Because many of us are constantly grazing on food, our bodies are not used to using stored fat as fuel. Some people will experience an easier transition from burning sugar to fat, while others may not. Everyone is different here. The supplements will help during this stage. Be sure to tell your patient to drink plenty of water and not do strenuous exercise during this stage. It will pass. Within days they will feel sharper and in control.
  • Is dairy allowed?
High-quality organic dairy. They are a good source of calcium and protein. They also help patients feel fuller for longer. However, they should eat in moderation as they are high in calories.
  • Is alcohol allowed?
The occasional red wine is fine. Alcohol has calories, as you know, and it causes the munchies, prompting your patient to want to eat more.
  • My patient works the night shift; any advice?
Night shifts play havoc with your circadian rhythm because this is not what nature intended. The best advice we can give is to focus on their protein intake, especially their first meal of the night. Let the first meal include healthy fats and sufficient protein to lay the foundation for the night ahead. The same with their last meal before they sleep. Their two main meals need to cover their daily requirements. A handful of nuts and herbal teas are also helpful during the night shift.
  • Do my patients need to exercise?
They must prioritize their diet because fat loss is 90-95% nutrition based. That being said, yes, they need to exercise. In addition, they must maintain as much muscle as possible because they can lose some power in addition to body fat. The research recommends the following: Incidental Physical Activity High-Intensity Interval Training Basic Resistance Training Expect your patient to start exercising in their third week once they've lost some fat. You wouldn't be able to stop them anyways because they will have lots of energy. The breakdown of fat provides twice as much energy as the breakdown of food glucose.
  • Will patients lose muscle on this program?
It's possible yes. It is important to insure they eat enough protein during the day. Keep in mind, as we age we lose muscle.
  • How can my patient make the meal program work with family members?
Prepare their meals and bulk up the dishes with phase-3 complex carbohydrates. These include more legumes, beans, and starches like brown rice, whole-wheat pasta, and whole-grain sprouted bread.
  • How can patients stop munching on something in the evening?
Keep busy! Go for a walk after dinner. Change habits. Have herbal teas in the evening. Drinking herbal tea mimics snacking without the extra calories. We know it’s not easy. It takes effort, but it can be done.
  • What about dessert?
They are on 800 calories daily, a meal plan that doesn’t allow sugar. If they must, have some berries right after dinner in one sitting. It should be a part of a meal than dessert on an empty stomach. Never dessert on an empty stomach. Remind them why they are doing this program. Keep that at the forefront of everything that you do.
  • What advertising medium do you recommend?
It depends on your market. Please reach out to us.
  • What's the best advertising method?
Pictures and stories! No, the advertising you want to focus on is aspirational. You want your patients to want to aspire to look and feel great.
